Village Montessori is committed to offering a learning environment that embraces diversity - of religious belief, race, creed and family structure. In order to be considered for our Early Childhood program, children must be at least 2 1/2 and toilet trained. Our Admissions Procedure is as follows:

School Visit: We encourage you to visit our school! There is no substitute for experiencing the magic of Montessori in action, and we are happy to share our environment with you. Your visit will also include time to speak with the Head of School about Montessori philosophy and how it is expressed at Village Montessori.

Application: Once you've made the decision to apply, complete the Application Form and send it to the school along with the non-refundable application fee of $250.

Interview Process: This is your child's opportunity to experience the Montessori environment, including the opportunity to work one-on-one with the teachers/guides and in small groups with the children, while you meet with the Head of School.

Enrollment Offer: Village Montessori is strongly committed to "following the child," and we are looking for children who will thrive in an environment of freedom within limits, where curiosity and independence are encouraged, and where social and personal responsibility are fostered. Families will be expected to work with the school in a partnership that supports these aims and goals for the community.

Admissions decisions are made by the teachers/guides and Administration, based upon the determination of a good fit between your child and the class, as well as your family philosophy with the school. Considereation is also given to the needs of the classroom with regard to balance of age, sex and ethnic origin when possible. Priority is given to siblings and to students with former Montessori experience.

If a position is offered to your child, a non-refundable deposit of $675 for half day students and $775 for full day students will be due. Upon receipt of the deposit, we will hold a place for your child in our program, and you will be contractually obligated for the year's tuition.

If a place is not immediately available, you may wish to be placed on our wait list. You will receive notification of your wait list status by June 1.
