Village Montessori is a community of parents and teachers in the Lake Norman area partnering together with the common goal of nurturing the child's total development, including academic, social, emotional, and motor. Furthermore, it is our goal to support each student in striving toward his or her own fullest potential.

However, Village Montessori is also committed to teaching even the youngest of children to be respectful and collaborative members of a community.  Much more than a school, we promote respect for others and a love of learning so the children in our care blossom in an environment of positive reinforcement.  We believe that in doing so, we are contributing to a future of world peace.

In keeping with this eye on the future, we believe that a love of learning goes well beyond classrooms and text books. We encourage independence in our students for all areas of study, utilizing a "hands on" method and gentle self-motivation techniques to draw each child to their potential.

Finally, imagination and creativity are joyously explored and nurtured in our outdoor classroom which provides almost limitless opportunities and adventures.
